Welcome to my fashion studio

Laura, founder of the DIY blog Mi Primera Máquina de Coser, came along to my studio a few days ago to chat about Ethical and Sustainable Fashion, as she's doing her final project about this interesting topic.

She interviewed me about out brand Etrala London, and we talked about the future of the fashion industry, production process, labour conditions in the asian factories, environmental pollution, and so on.

We chatted about consumer's awareness and how they are worrying about "fast fashion" production and searching for sustainable alternatives, and products made in their own countries.

Quality, not Quantity. We are looking for durable garments, made from good quality materials, ethically manufactured... This is the "Slow Fashion" Revolution.

DIY blogs are more and more present on the internet, and they're getting very popular. There are so many things you can do yourself instead of buying them, and they are a good hobby to do instead of watching TV.

She also took all these beautiful pictures, you are a great photographer, Laura!

Old and new collections are happily living together, long lasting garments that don't get old-fashioned overnight.

Nuestras camisetas son "Ethically Made".

Our T-shirts have been ethically madeNo child labour (yes, don't get surprised, this is still happening) responsibly produced with the protection of the environment.

Backstage at Etrala London SS16 Shooting

Etrala London's latest collection has been inspired by unusual MERMAIDS
The photo shoot took place in the photographer Kunydiamond's studio and with the help of the make up artist Silvia Romero we could get the contemporary mermaid look that we wanted. The starfish headpiece is a work of the designer Mimoki, and the look was finished with undone braids and little pearls in the hair and gold glitter make up. You are invited to see some moments of the "Making Of". No fishing, please.

The New Collection will be available very soon at Etrala.London

Matchy Matchy Mummy & Daughter

At this point you must have realised that wearing mum-and-daughter matching outfits is a big trend this year. Here at Etrala London we are loving it and have designed a baby dress to match our Cactus Collection.

Why don't you follow this trend for Mother's Day?
